COVER OF ’MY LOOSE THREAD’

Casey McKinney invited me to make the cover for a self-published zine that he put out in 1998 or 1999, titled Mall Punk Magazine, which he saw as a sort of group show taking the form of a ‘zine. Later, Dennis Cooper asked to use my cover image for his novel ‘My Loose Thread’, published by Canongate in 2002.

It was used for the first hardcover edition of ‘My Loose Thread’, but the publisher removed the image from the softcover and for future editions, as they felt it was too graphic (so, if you have an edition with this image, it’s a rare thing).
